The right energy.
People focus so much on calculations, numbers, product, growth, and hard work that they forget a very important element in this entire process: people.
How did Zidane win three back-to-back Champions Leagues? Man-management. What was so special(and sometimes pretty ugly) about Steve Jobs? Man-management. The ability to surround by the right people to accelerate is everything. The ability to effectively communicate with them is crucial. On a personal level, even though I don’t meet my friends for days and months, the moment we’re all in together, there’s laughter, fun and a special aura of magic that is just so unique.
Corporate or personal, remote or physical, we need to interact with humans all the time, it is fundamental to our health in a way as well. There’s the new wave of Chat-GPTs that are fundamentally ground-breaking but they can only assist and not replace(at least that's what I hope so :O ) human touch.
The problem today is that people have formalised this social element. They call it ‘networking’, ‘relationship management’ and whatever fancier terms that feel right to them, but they’ve forgotten that sometimes these terms do not capture the human aspect. Despite what the hustle grindset promotes, we are not machines that can just go on and on against everything. We have emotions, vulnerabilities, and so much more inside each and every one of us, and to truly network with people need to show that side too, and not just be like robots interacting with each other.
